The Spotted Sisters

Enduring Vision aka “Cameo” is the Queen Diva of the farm.  She was born in 2005 and was destined to be a star.  Her accomplishments speak for herself and are listed below.    She has a Superior in Open Most Colorful at Halter that she gained in May of 2009.  The Bronze Medallion was awarded to her at for her win in Foundation Pedigree Designation Mares at Nationals in 2008.  She was Reserve FPD Mare in 2009 at the Nationals.  She has won Youth Most Colorful two years in a row in 2008 and 2009.  She has multiple Top Ten and Top Five Placings at Nationals and The ApHC World Show.  Her sire which is Clear Vision can be seen online at Northern Tier Appaloosas where Cameo also has her own page.  Her dam, Ms Cruella De Ville, was formerly owned by SawyerCreek Appaloosas where she was bred by John and Julie Kreider.  Congratulations on their award of Bronze Medallion Breeders for breeding a National Champion in Cameo.  We are so thankful to be given the chance to continue her quest for Spotted greatness in the Appaloosa circuit.  She loves the show pen and really shines when she is in there.  This year in Open classes watch for Cameo and Butch McGlothlin who is her trainer.  In Non Pro Classes she will be in the hands of her other Mommy, Kelly Engle-Thompson and in Youth Most Colorful she will be shown in his last year of youth, by Adam Levy.  Thanks again for the wonderful people along the way that has been involved with Enduring Vision as she leaves a legacy in our lives.  She is truly an inspired gift of what we feel the Appaloosa is and should be in today’s breed.

Back from a heck of start last year, we have our other “spotted sister” the Diva Sister, Visions Brite Image, aka “Bailey”.  If you know a lot of things about Bailey, you do know that she was involved in a accident in the field with a tree of all things.  After serious care provided by Roy (her Daddy) one of our vets, Dr. Jennifer Smith, friends and boarders (Dawn and Dustin, Scott, Dad Harker, Ralph, Ashley and Jeff, Mom (Nancy) and myself(Kelly) - Bailey is able to come back this year to compete.  She is lucky to be alive let alone to compete but after long hours of care, lots of vet calls, and love and prayers, Bailey is doing well and hopefully will have a complete and seamless recovery.  She hasn’t surprised us as she has shown great patience and heart in all that she has had to endure.

Bailey had a great year in 2009 coming off Nationals and beating her spotted sister in Non Pro Most Colorful. She is certainly off to flying colors and future successes like Cameo has had.  Her sire, Clear Vision can be seen online at Northern Tier Appaloosas where Bailey also has her own page.  Northern Tier Appaloosas who bred Bailey also owns the dam which is Daddys Brite Image.   You can imagine the looks that we get when we tell people that they are half sisters and compete against each other or better words compete along side one another.  Bailey is shown in Open classes and Non Pro Classes by Roy Thompson and is trained by Butch McGlothlin.  She is occasionally show by Adam Levy in Youth classes as well.  Bailey accomplishments are numbered with limited showing with 2009 being her first year in training.  Bailey is a rare gift with color and a patient personality that is a true example of why we fell in the love with this particular line of Appaloosas.  Appaloosas in general are full of heart and soul, and she is a prime example of this. We look forward to the combination of the spotted duo in the pen for 2010.
